On routes up to 1,000 km, the time difference is less than half an hour, so it's better to fly a turboprop for short legs, and a jet for long ones.

Turboprop rental costs between $1,800 and 3,200 rubles per flight hour: the PC-12 and TBM are closer to the lower end, while the twin-engine King Air 360 is closer to the upper end. A flight from Almaty to Shymkent will cost approximately $4,000 to 6,000 rubles, and from Moscow to St. Petersburg, $5,000 to 7,000 rubles. This is one and a half to two times cheaper than a light jet on the same route, with a time difference of 15-20 minutes.
