Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should a flight be booked?
The standard is 24–48 hours before departure: that is enough to confirm the aircraft, crew and slots. For regular clients we arrange a domestic flight from 4–6 hours. International routes need 48–72 hours: overflight permits for some countries take 3–5 working days. On peak dates — Christmas, summer holidays, major forums — aircraft are booked out 2–3 weeks ahead, so plan early.
What are empty legs and how much can you save on them?
An empty leg is the ferry of an empty aircraft to its next job or home to base. Such segments sell at a 30–75% discount to the usual price: a flight that would cost $25K can come to $8–12K. The limits: the date and route are fixed to the aircraft's schedule, and if the main booking is cancelled the flight may shift. We publish current empty legs weekly — watch the listings.
What are the rules on baggage, pets and flying with children?
Baggage is limited only by hold volume: a light jet takes 5–8 suitcases, while midsize and above fit skis, gun cases and golf bags — clear oversized cargo in advance. Pets travel in the cabin in a carrier or crate; a pet passport, microchip and documents for the destination country are required. Children fly from birth to 2 years with no surcharge.
Can you carry alcohol, smoke and hold events in the cabin?
Alcohol is allowed in the cabin and is included in catering on request. Smoking follows the rules of the specific aircraft and operator (not permitted on most VIP cabins, with some exceptions). Business meetings, presentations and celebrations in the cabin are possible on midsize aircraft and above. Send us a request — we'll prepare options, calculate running costs and analyse the best fit for your task.
What happens if a flight is delayed or cancelled due to weather?
In non-flying weather or an airport closure the operator offers a rescheduled departure, a change of alternate airfield or a substitute aircraft — safety always takes priority and the captain decides. If the operator cancels through its own fault, the fee is refunded. We stay in contact with the operator and quickly rebuild the flight. Send us a request — we'll prepare options, calculate running costs and analyse the best fit for your task.
How do you charter a private jet?
Call us or leave a request on the site. Tell us the dates, the route and how many passengers are flying. We come back with a shortlist of suitable aircraft and a quote for each, usually within a couple of hours.
Once you pick the aircraft we handle the rest: contract, slots, ground handling, catering and, if needed, VIP terminal and transfers. On short notice a flight can be arranged within a few hours.
How do you choose the right aircraft for a charter?
Three things decide it: the number of passengers, the length of the leg and your budget. They set the class of aircraft, which in turn defines cabin comfort, luggage capacity and whether the flight can be done without a stop.
Airports matter too — some runways are too short for heavy types, and mountain airfields need specific performance. We match the aircraft to the route rather than offering whatever happens to be free.
What is included in the charter price?
The quote is a complete package, not just the aircraft. It normally covers:
- The aircraft with a qualified crew;
- Airport and navigation charges, slots and handling;
- Catering on board and standard beverages;
- VIP terminal where the airport has one;
- Fuel and insurance.
Extras such as special catering, pets, ski or golf equipment, or ground transfers are quoted separately and agreed in advance, so the final figure holds no surprises.
How is flight safety ensured, and how experienced are the crews?
Safety comes first. Every aircraft offered for charter is maintained on schedule and holds the full set of airworthiness and operating documents. We work only with operators holding a valid air operator certificate.
Crews hold current licences and type ratings and pass regular simulator checks and medical examinations. For each flight we verify the operator's insurance cover and the aircraft's current status before confirming the booking.
Can I change the terms of a booked flight?
Yes. Dates, times, route and passenger list can be changed, and we will do everything possible to accommodate the new plan.
How easily depends on how close to departure the change comes: slots, crew duty time and airport curfews all play a part. Tell us as early as you can and we will rework the flight — or find an alternative aircraft if the original one no longer fits.
