Since 1937, the American Piper has produced more than 144,000 aircraft. Today, its flagships are the M-Class family: the piston-engined M350, the turboprop M500 and M600SLS, and the new M700 Fury, with a speed of 556 km/h and a range of 2,850 km. This is the most affordable entry into turboprop aviation: six seats, a pressurized cabin, Garmin G3000 avionics, and prices range from $$3 to $$4.1 million.

The M600SLS is the first in the world to feature the certified Garmin Autoland system: if the pilot is incapacitated, the aircraft automatically selects an airfield, lands, and shuts down the engine—all with the push of a button. It also features automatic stall protection, life monitoring, and the proven PT6A-42A engine. No competitor has yet fully replicated this feature for an owner-operated family aircraft.

A new M700 Fury costs ~$1,810,000, M600SLS ~$1,810,000, M500s are priced at ~$1,700,000–$2,400, and a piston-engined M350 starts at ~$1,810,000. Operating costs are among the cheapest in the owner-occupied aircraft class: ~$1,810,000–$1,600,000 direct costs per hour for turboprop versions. The ideal niche is routes of 500–2,000 km with 3–4 passengers.

The factory warranty is typically 5 years or 1,000 hours for the airframe and systems; the PT6A engines are covered by Pratt & Whitney programs. The Garmin Autoland autoland system on the M600/M700 is supported under the avionics warranty.

New M350/M500/M600SLS/M700 Fury aircraft are delivered approximately 6-12 months from order date. Faster delivery is available from a dealer's inventory or from the M-Class used market.
